Tickets are listed at exclusive prices ; if you and a pal decide to go out for a simple dinner and a show, expect to pay in the $500 range and much more for box seats and more intricate dining fare.
Well-known favorites like Chicago, Grease, hobo, blokes and Dolls, South Pacific and Pal Joey can be enjoyed, as can new material such as Spamalot, Hairspray and evil. You may select from David Mamet's Speed-the-Plow or American Buffalo, Peter Shaffer's Equus, Tracy Letts' comedy August : Osage County, and Anton Chekhov's immortal classic The Seagull, among many now in production.
there are lots of Broadway plays that were evolved from other mediums, including preferred films. Avenue Q was inspired from the television show Sesame Street, yet it offers an adult-themed play.

A big part of the Theatre District's NYC nightlife are the spectacular older theatres. People get dressed to the 9s to attend the theatre, and there's a spirit of camraderie and bon vivant as the audience settles in together as a group to take part in the experiences the show offers. Some of the theatres, for example the Winter Garden, are vintage homes. After cats closed its nineteen-year run there, the inside of the house was restored to what it seemed like in the 1920s. This is one of the hotspots on Broadway and around the town where you can be in the thick of NYC nightlife, now let's look at the BARS

hobo Tea - despite the name, there is no Stevie Nicks vibe here. But what you may find is a two-level hip hop destination where you may regularly see sections full of A-listers from the fashion and celebrity world. With four unique lounge settings ( and over ten thousand sq. feet ) of banquette-like seating, cushy pillars, a grand aquarium and room to dance, most head to gypsy Tea for its VIP section and bottle service. Make sure to taste the house specialty - The gypsy Cosmo! Rated 2005's Hottest New Lounge, gypsy Tea can be discovered at twenty-two W. 24th St. ( between fifth & 6th Aves. ).

Pink Elephant - Bring a few credit cards and your swankiest shoes when you visit this luxurious bottle service locale ( located at 527 W. 27th St, between tenth & 11th Aves. With a pheromone-shooting scent machine, you will find your libido-sparking hormones at complete attention and the scene absolutely intoxicating! The door can be difficult, but worth the trouble for the group AND staff you will find when you enter the gates. Tortilla lofts - there is a party constantly at this little Tex-Mex joint. Excellent for food and margaritas ( try the strawberry one - you can get them by the pitchers ), Tortilla Flats is a cheap and fun cantina that's's always crowded with post-work people looking for a good time. Its located on Washington Street & 12th. Trailer Park Lounge - found at 23rd Street ( between 7th & 8th Avenues ) this place is an ode to an old trailer park - screen door, unmatched vinyl chairs, velvet photos of Elvis, Marilyn and more. This is the place to be if you need good comfort food ( try the sweet potato fries, tator tots and mac n' cheese ) and massive potent drinks ( the margaritas are the scale of your head ) after a hellish day with the boss. With its kitschy decor, Trailer Park is a good place - sans pretension or attitude.

- between Columbus and Amsterdam Aves. ) is no dive at all!

What should my next NYC Broadway show be?

I want to go see one or two more shows before I leave for school in a month.....
was just wondering WHICH ONES?!

Out of the following, which should I see & why?
The 39 Steps
August: Osage County (i'm thinkin this is my #1, cuz of the Tony award)
Chicago
Hairspray
In The Heights
Jersey Boys
Xanadu
Young Frankenstein

Thanks!

These are all shows that I would love to see, and some I have seen. I've seen Hairspray, and although I loved it, I would further recommend Wicked, which obviously isn't on the list, or Avenue Q. Avenue Q is SO funny, and is totally inappropriate for little kids, so you don't have to worry about that. Wicked is my all-time favorite play and if you didn't see it, then see it. Also, I would recommend Rent, because it is closing in September. A Chorus line is closing too, on August 17th. Out of these shows though, I have heard Jersey Boys was really good.
