City Water Contaminants Which Could Impair You
Fluoride is an ugly poison which is added to drinking water supplies in numerous towns and cities spanning North America.
Once I found out how detrimental fluoride is for a person's health, I quickly started searching for an easy approach to eliminate fluoride out of my drinking aqua. It proved to be a more tough action than I had prepared for.
I learned that most of the cleaners you see in stores will not take out fluoride at all! And the ones that did, the reverse osmosis systems, were greatly costly, and they had to be set up within the water supply and aqua system of a living quarters. Which just didn't look like a good idea to me. Not to document that reverse osmosis water is flat out bare of the essential minerals that we yen for to remain in good shape, and forms an inconsistent pH that can end in dded health ailments like regular heartburn and other more unhealthy problems.
After hunting long and hard I discovered the treatment system which I have been employing for my personal drinking water for over 2 years now. It's called the Berkey Water System, and it can separate fluoride and additional heavy metals, pathogens, bacteria, chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, and other ugly stuff that ends up in most urban aqua supplies.
The Berkey doesn't need to be plugged in, since it is powered on weight. And it does not require to be connected inside your home or hooked to any form of water source either. It's remarkably easy to throw together, and it's fully transportable. You just drop h2o in the top and allow it run through the black berkey charcoal treatments and the PF-2 Fluoride/Arsenic filters and viola, you gather clean and healthy drinking aqua in whatever place you travel!
The water that comes out of the Berkefield is ideal for consumption, and the filtration purifier is fantastic enough that it's literally considered a water PURIFIER and not only an ordinary old filter. This baby is fantastic enough to clean raw untreated water starting with lakes, rivers, or streams, and turn it into healthy water which you can consume lacking fear of noxious substances.

why is my city water still harming my fish?
i just moved from the country to the city and have been using water conditioner on the water as I do water changes. some of my fish still show signs of scale damage and open sores. why is this happening? like all other things do i have to remove the carbon filter for like a day so it removes the harmful substances properly?
it's not really a new tank, more like new city old tank...these are cichlids so they are pretty hardy i just dont know why everytime i change the water this happens
Well you are starting a new fish tank so it does need to regain all of the bacteria, the move probably stressed them. For the open sores and scales use Milafix I have used it recently and it worked wonders and it wasn't hard on the rest of the fish. Good luck to you!
