Il Mistero Di Villa Carmine Montesilvano (Pe)
La chiesa di Villa Carmine (Montesilvano PE) è un monumento sacro di epoca medioevale, avvolta in una nube di mistero; custodisce un antico quadro di una Madonna Nera, in stile carmelitano, e si pensa che sia stata costruita sopra un Tempio Italiaco dedicato a Giove. In questo luogo sorse il nucleo originario di Montesilvano che insieme ai colli rappresenta la parte più antica della città. I primi abitanti, di cui si ha traccia nella storia, furono i Salinas, un popolo Vestino (III sec A.C.). All'epoca questa terra era conosciuta come "La città delle acque" per la invidiabile posizione tra il mare, il fiume e le sorgenti di acqua. Il pago Salinas, anticamente, rappresentava un punto importante per tutte le comunità Vestine che ogni anno si riunivano in un grande Conciliabulum proprio all'altezza dell'attuale borgo. Per questo gli abitanti e gli studiosi pensano che al di sotto della attuale chiesa ci siano i resti di un Tempio dedicato a Giove, fulcro dei rituali e delle offerte che si compivano durante il Conciliabulum. In epoca medioevale venne costruito un convento carmelitano, come si apprende dalle scarse fonti, che si estendeva per tutto l'ingresso della attuale Villa Carmine; ancora oggi possiamo notare che le abitazioni rappresentano ciò che rimane del complesso. Un abitante di Villa Carmine svela che durante il restauro di una di queste costruzioni è stato ritrovato un Treppite (un frantoio) in pietra antichissimo e che il proprietario ha confessato che scavando ha portato alla luce antichi pavimenti. Ed ha aggiunto che ci sarebbe ancora molto da scavare. Tutti, però, pretendono l'anonimia dell'informazione. Molti sono pronti a giurare che sotto Villa Carmine ci sono antiche testimonianze ma nessuno è disposto a farsi avanti. Un giovane scherzando dice: "Tutti stanno zitti perché hanno paura che possano buttare giù le case". La Sig.ra Gabriella Valeriani gode di molta stima da parte dei concittadini, tutti gli abitanti sono concordi che solo lei, ipse dixit, possa rivelare quello che sta accadendo nella chiesa. La Valeriani è una appassionata di storia per questo ha coadiuvato Don Cesare nei lavori. Ha rivelato che, all'interno della chiesa mentre ripulivano dalla muffa e dai danni causati dall'umidità, sono venuti alla luce alcuni interessanti affreschi. Il primo è stato trovato dietro il tabernacolo dove era bullonato il famoso quadro della Madonna Nera. Nello staccarlo per ripulirlo dalla muffa è apparsa un'interessante immagine della Madonna con due angeli. L'affresco, alcuni decenni fa, fu aperto per inserire delle luci nel tabernacolo. Un altro residuo di affresco è apparso in alto, sul soffitto davanti alla sacrestia. In ultimo, staccati i muri laterali su cui veniva rappresentata la via crucis, sono comparse due porte e due affreschi di cui però rimane ben poco perché quasi completamente cartati. "Don Cesare è una persona molto sensibile al senso estetico- dichiara la sig.ra Valeriani- quello che sta facendo richiede coraggio e dedizione. Lui ha la capacità di seguire questo restauro e ha il desiderio di restituire la chiesa al suo antico splendore" La sig.ra Valeriani, inoltre, non esclude affatto che Villa Carmine possa celare nel sottosuolo interessanti scoperte che amplierebbero le conoscenze sulla storia della città e del borgo ma fa notare: "La sovrintendenza potrà sicuramente collaborare in futuro con delle somme per effettuare alcuni lavori in Villa Carmine ma per scavare ci vogliono seri investimenti e in questo momento non sono disponibili." Non mancano le leggende popolari intrise di mistero e magia come quella che aleggia da secoli che narra di un "tesoro della Madonna" che sembrerebbe essere nascosto sotto la Chiesa. Altri vecchi saggi sostengono che sotto ci sarebbero due cripte con due parroci seppelliti. Altri sostengono che, oltre dai frati, il convento sia stato abitato e custodito da Monache scomparse improvvisamente nel nulla. Un signore anziano "sussurra" che sotto al pavimento attuale c'è un'altra stanza, forse una cripta e poi si allontana con fare da agente segreto. Il mistero più intrigante rimane, però, quello del dipinto della Madonna Nera con bambino, circondato anche esso da storie e leggende popolari tramandate da generazioni, la sua origine è ignota e la data, 1468, incerta. Don Cesare rassicura che il quadro è ben custodito all'interno della sacrestia della chiesa e chiarisce: "il quadro in realtà non sembrerebbe proprio del 1468 e potrebbe non essere tanto antico. Tale data è probabilmente riferita a una lapide, in ogni caso verrà demandato ad un esperto il compito di valutarne l'origine insieme ad alcuni affreschi che sono stati scoperti durante i lavori ." La data in questione sta a testimoniare un evento in cui si narra che la Madonna apparve in loco e per ragioni sconosciute viene collegata al quadro. L'episodio trae origine da una scritta scolpita sulla prima colonna a destra di chi guarda l'altare: "Sancta Maria apparuit hic A.D. MCCCC LXVIII Primo" (Qui apparve la Madonna nel 1468). Un documento, "Assenso di Filippo V" testimonia che il quadro era già presente nel convento carmelitano nel 1711, questa è l'unica fonte pervenutaci. E' noto che la Madonna Nera sia la protettrice dei viaggiatori, famosa è la Madonna di Loreto. Gli antropologi la ricollegano al culto di Iside in particolare. Osvaldo Galli, storico di Montesivano, ha ipotizzato che il quadro provenga direttamente dalla Palestina portato da devoti frati Carmelitani a Montesilvano proprio nel 1468. L'ordine della Beata vergine è sorto in Palestina sul Monte Carmelo, che in aramaico significa giardino. La scritta "qui apparve la Madonna" potrebbe essere aperta a una razionale interpretazione: prima di quel momento le persone del villaggio non avevano mai ammirato un'icona raffigurante la Madonna, in quanto all'epoca non era facile reperire artisti a Montesilvano. Don Cesare non si pronuncia sulla storia del quadro ma rassicura che i lavori, a cui il Comune di Montesilvano ha contribuito per la somma di €30.000, soprattutto destinati a restaurare il tetto, saranno terminati in breve tempo, spera prima della fine dell'anno. La sig.ra Villani ha dichiarato: "Sono sicura che quando la Chiesa verrà riaperta al pubblico sarà una piacevole sorpresa per tutti, molto più di quanto si possa pensare." Villa Carmine è di vitale importanza per la cultura, la storia della città di Montesilvano, una storia che incomprensibilmente viene ignorata a volte negata dagli stessi abitanti, una storia che se riscoperta potrebbe cambiare in modo positivo il destino della città. Storia irrisolta, tesori, frammenti di quotidianità di altra epoca, notizie utili sulle vicende del misterioso dipinto, questi sono i misteri di Villa Carmine legati anche a leggende popolari come quella di una donna che aprì la porta della chiesa e udì un coro di angeli o quella che narra di alcuni spiriti apparsi davanti alla chiesa nella notte per aiutare automobilisti in panne e poi scomparsi improvvisamente.

what is so hard about this? If Federal money is being used to fund the plan, then no state should have any different rules than another. If you have a Soc Sec Card, you have an insurance card, you can buy from any state in the union and if you move from Dallas to Kansas City to Chicago, you just keep the same insurance. Are the Politicians making this complicated in order to gain favor from those who Lobby in our great Capitol? Put some UPS, Wal Mart, Home Shopping Network people on a board and let them decide; you'll get the best buy for the least money in the fastest time. Zing!

by No exemptions, I mean no state like Nebraska will be left out when it comes time to pay the bill. Everyone pays per-capita the same amount. California more than Nebraska and Louisiana but they all pay equal portions.
Since we have an employer based health care system I think that it is easiest to retain the present system. Health plans, like Medicaid, that supplement existing plans for the poor or under insured should be paid for equally by all the states. I never understood why Nebraska, Florida or Louisiana got a break the other states didn't get in the Senate version of health care reform. I also don't see why citizenship should not be a prerequisite in obtaining a health care plan as well as the elimination of preexisting conditions and cross state competition. It would be also nice to see some tort reform in any new proposals for reform.
