Fathers Day 2010 Celebrations

A global celebration, Father's Day commemorates the spirit of fatherhood. This occasion makes us all remember once more the beautiful relationship we share with our fathers. Even though there is a distinctive way with which people the world over celebrate Fathers Day but the common factor is the spirit of the occasion.

Everybody utilises the opportunity to honour their father and tell them how much they are loved and appreciated. Anyone and everyone whom we look up to as a father figure should be made to feel special on Father's Day. This may include someones grand dad, father-in-law, uncle, stepfather and so on.

How is Father's Day Celebrated?
Father's Day is a personal celebration and thus the nature and style of celebrations differ from person to person and culture to culture. Some of us make hand made cards with heart touching messages or quotations for their father. Then there are those who try to bridge all differences, physical or emotional on this day by spending some time on Father's Day with their dad.

Also, some children present many Father's Day gifts to their dearest dad on this day. From fresh Father's Day flowers to Father's Day cards, gift basket or personalised gifts, accessories etc. to their father. One can add to this with gifts of experience like making his favourite meal, planning a day out and so on. Some people also like to throw a Father's Day party and invite people close to him, his friends, acquaintances and relatives.

To many children, this is the most special way of expressing affection for dad on Father's Day and to let him know how that everything he does for the family is appreciated from the core of the heart.

 

Expressing Yourself On Fathers Day

All of us have someone or the other whom they consider a role model and it is their father or someone they respect and love as they would their father. They have someone to take care of their needs and interests. To guide them into making the right choices and to show them the path towards success and virtue. Fathers would never ever give a smallest of hint to let us know how hard they work to take care of our needs and fulfill so many of our demands.

We as children also often take the love and affection of our parents for granted. This is one occasion that gives us the opportunity to feel gratitude and for the presence of a loving father in our lives.

What should i get my husband for fathers day?

It's the first fathers day since our daughter was born and i'd like to get him something he'll remember. Any ideas??? What are you guys getting your husbands?

I would make something. Like on a piece of paper, i would do a poem from your daughter to her daddy...Like:

A little girl needs a daddy,
for many many things:
For calling her a princess,
and for pushing on the swings.
For loving her to pieces,
and for tucking in at night.
a little girl needs a daddy every single night.

OR

Daddy, I love you
For all that you do.

I'll kiss you and hug you
'Cause you love me, too.

You feed me and need me
To teach you to play.

So smile 'cause I love you
On this Father's Day.

Then i would do hand prints under the poem, Maybe with a paint color of his favorite color.

Than on the sides of the paper do random picture of them two.

Then find a really cute frame that will fit it.
