Has anyone ever been to the Mets spring training complex?
Is it open to the public? I'm going to Florida on Sunday to visit my grandparents and they live about a half hour away from Port St. Lucie, does anyone know if it's open to the public and any details about any admission fees and if the players sign autographs?

Do they charge you to get in the complex? Are you even allowed in the complex or do you just hang out in the parking lot?
Hi Ben -- it's a very nice complex, where the fans can hang out by the parking lot and players do sign alot of autographs. The earlier you go in spring training is better, as once it starts approaching the regular season, the players get more in their zones and less fan-friendly. However, by Sunday it'll only be mostly pitchers and catchers (maybe some rookies), so you won't get David Wright or Jose Reyes yet, in all likelihood.
Since you'll only be half an hour away, I'd definitely give it a try. It's fun to see the complex and what cars the players drive, if nothing else.
