btw.. Le Reve IS NOT a Cirque Du Soleil show, unlike what people may think, although a number of its creators and affiliates were also involved in "O" like ten years ago...
anyway...
O is spectacular!! I love it! It is a water show and is better than Le Reve imo and i did not like Le Reve. O just took my breathe away so many times. It is so mystical and intimate. Everything in the show is an illusion; the stage, the curtain, the characters. Watching O is as if you are dreaming, it is incredible. The show amazes me without even trying sometimes. The theater and the hotel it is in is also great, i love Bellagio.
If you dont like it or find it boring or whatever I do not know what will please you.
Mystere is great too.. but I think it just isnt as spectacular as "O". Mystere is fun, musical, upbeat, and colorful. It is "classic" Cirque Du Soleil.
I havent seen LOVE, but from what i have seen it is good.. but I personally wouldnt care for it because I do not like the Beatles music (i dont dislike it, i just dont like it). Also, LOVE would probably be hardest to get tickets for.
To be honest with you, Ka just didnt seem up to par with what is already out there, performance-wise. It had the best costumes and the best theater though. It seemed to be overly glitzy and pyrotechnical and didnt have a lot of good acts. The circus was too integrated into the show and story and effects. It did not feel like I was watching Cirque Du Soleil.
What I love about O that really distinguishes it from the other shows is the music and the aesthetic appeal of it. It is done so well and so gracefully that it doesnt have to put the lights on one stunt or one trick to amaze, nor put much effect into it. There is so much going on at once overall.. but it is all woven together seamlessly. And the addition that water makes to the show is honestly indescripable.. watching performance on, in, and above water is indescripable.
The tickets for O are the most expensive though. I think it is worth every penny and would not hesitate in paying again to see it again. The synchronized swimming and "Barge" acts alone make the show worth it.
